The Problem

Most strategic problems are diagnosis problems.

Organizations under pressure tend to treat symptoms: messaging that isn't landing, alignment that keeps breaking down, trust that erodes faster than it builds. The underlying forces often stay unexamined: audience psychology, institutional incentives, cultural pressure, operational reality.

When those forces go unread, strategy becomes reactive. Leaders make confident decisions on an incomplete picture of what's actually driving outcomes.

Intentional helps organizations see those dynamics clearly enough to act on them.

Our Approach

We begin with systems: the incentives, behaviors, trust conditions, cultural pressures and operational realities shaping how audiences think, decide and respond.

Diagnosis comes before strategy. That means tracing the problem to its source: the structural conditions that created it and the specific dynamics that will need to shift.

From there, the work is translation: turning that understanding into strategy clear enough to act on and language that can carry the weight of what it needs to say.

Who We Are

Founder and Principal

Jenn Chiang

Jenn Chiang gets people to care.

She works through brand, communications and institutional narrative, building the systems that make belief, behavior and interpretation shift at scale. Twenty years of that work spans Fortune 1 reputation transformations, venture-backed platform building and culture-defining campaigns recognized at Cannes, customer experience work recognized by Forrester and reputation work preserved in the Smithsonian collection.

She built her career without a traditional degree, which trained her to rely on pattern recognition and customer empathy over pedigree. That outsider lens keeps her close to how real people live, think and make decisions, and to the cultural texture that disappears at scale.

She partners with leaders navigating transformation where the stakes are high, the complexity is genuine and the work has to deliver.
